What is a Resort Vacation Certificate?
A Resort Vacation Certificate (“Certificate(s)”) is a certificate redeemable for 7-night stays at many resort properties worldwide*.The Certificate(s) is designed to be used for off-peak/off‑season travel, although accommodations may be available throughout the year. Peak seasons can vary according to destination. IMPORTANT: Certificate(s) are for promotional purposes and cannot be resold for cash or other consideration.
How does it work?
Certificate(s) can be purchased and used for personal travel or gifts. Once the recipient receives the Certificate, by mail
or email, they can search and choose from many resorts worldwide to book their accommodation.
How do I purchase Certificates?
Click on “Purchase Certificates” and create an account by entering the validation code supplied by your Corporate Office or Program Administrator. During the purchasing process, you can view samples and choose from printed Certificates (received in 7-10 business days) or e-Certificates (immediately accessible by logging into your account).

How do I send e-Certificate(s)?
Due to certain e-mail settings, some recipients may have to add donotreply@resortcerts.com to their approved sender list to receive the e-Certificate.
What is e-Certificate Personalization?
Choose from nearly 30 designs (birthday, thank you, holiday, etc), create a message, and enter the recipient’s name and email address – the recipient receives a Certificate meant just for them!
How is a Certificate redeemed?
Recipients go to the redemption site printed on their Certificate and enter the certificate number to search for accommodations. The Certificate will remain valid until: (1) it is redeemed by booking an accommodation, or (2) it expires after the “Book by Date”.
Do Resort Vacation Certificates expire?
Yes, they expire if accommodations are not booked before the “Book by Date” printed on the Certificate(s), which can be up to 12 months from the date of purchase. IMPORTANT: Certificate(s) cannot be extended beyond the “BOOK BY DATE”.
I do not want to email the e-Certificate(s). Can I print e-Certificates and give them away?
Yes. Send the e-Certificate to your own e-mail address instead of the recipient’s email address. When you receive it, open the e-mailed Certificate and click “VIEW AND PRINT”.
TIP for using this method: During the Personalization step, enter the intended recipient’s name in the “TO” field. This will allow you to track each e-Certificate and its recipient in “MANAGE CERTIFICATES”. If you decide to leave this information blank, we highly recommend keeping record of each recipient and associated e-Certificate number for future reference as it will not be available in “MANAGE CERTIFICATES”.
What if I need to resend an e-Certificate?
What type of accommodations can the Certificate(s) be redeemed for?
All accommodations are for 7-night stays with a fixed check-in day and range in size from studios to 2+ bedrooms. Many offer living rooms, dining rooms, fully-equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. Resort locations are worldwide and based on availability. The Certificate(s) is designed to be used for off-peak/off‑season travel, although accommodations may be available throughout the year. Peak seasons can vary according to destination.
Can the Call Center help book accommodations?
Reservations must be completed online as the Call Center cannot confirm a reservation on the traveler’s behalf.
How can I find out more about sleeping accommodations and the maximum guests allowed in the unit?
While browsing through the resort, click the “LEARN MORE” tab and then click the “ADDITIONAL INFO” tab to find out important accommodation information, nearby attractions and directions.
What is an upgrade?
For an additional dollar amount (typically ranging from $50 USD to $1,000 USD), the Certificate holder may be able to upgrade
to a larger unit or travel during a shoulder period (which is a date closer to a peak travel date). The upgrade fee is the
fee for the entire week, not per night or per person. NOTE: Shoulder periods vary by destination.
How often is resort availability updated on the website?
Availability is updated multiple times a day.
How far in advance can the Certificate recipient search for an accommodation?
Certificate(s) must be used by the “BOOK BY DATE” located on the Certificate. The Certificate recipient may be able to search up to 12 months in advance.
Can accommodations be found any time of the year, including holidays?
The Certificate(s) is designed to be used for off-peak/off‑season travel, although accommodations may be available throughout the year. Peak seasons can vary according to destination.
Can the stay be less than 7 nights?
Yes, the can stay can be less than 7 nights. However, there is no refund for any remaining nights on the reservation (same applies for upgraded reservations). Contact the resort directly if a late or later day check-in is expected. IMPORTANT: You cannot arrive before the check-in date.
Is an actual printed Certificate required to book or to check-in?
The certificate number found on the e-Certificate or paper Certificate is required to book.
The reservation confirmation e-mail (received after redeeming the Certificate) should be brought along during check-in at the resort.
What if the Certificate is about to expire and the desired resort is not available?
We recommend finding another resort accommodation as Certificate(s) cannot be extended.
TIP:Start searching as early as possible.
If the Certificate recipient cannot use it, can they give it to someone else?
Yes, unredeemed Certificate(s) can be given to someone else. IMPORTANT: Once an accommodation is booked, it is non-transferable.
Accommodations are booked and the traveler cannot go anymore. Can the reservation be changed?
It is not possible to change or transfer the reservation once an accommodation is booked.
Can the resort be contacted to make a room change?
No. Resorts assign rooms on the day of arrival.
Do I have to attend a sales presentation?
No, you are not required to attend a sales presentation.
